Swift House Inn is surrounded by lovingly maintained lawns and gardens, including raised beds filled with fresh herbs, which the chef uses for menu items, and cut flowers for decorating the inn. Watch the sunset from your dinner table or from one of the Adirondack chairs after dinner. Be sure to grab a drink in our Blue Bar with in-house mixologist Laura Fenn and our sommelier David Herren. The bar features a wide selection of local Vermont beers and artisanal spirits and our award-winning wine list. In addition, we have a full menu of creative and seasonal cocktails using local ingredients such as syrups made from lilac blossoms and lavender sourced from our own gardens.

Swift House Inn in Middlebury Vermont changed ownership in 2020 but unchanged is its fine dining, world class wine selection, and hospitality in the heart of the small college town. It seems a fitting choice to sip at the renewed Swift House, which is well on its way to delivering far more sophistication than the average country inn. At the trade show, Robinson met an inn broker from Vermont and started looking at properties. Swift House landed at the top of the list because of its Middlebury location.

Little by little, Kim and Robinson have been adding their touches, such as redoing lighting, refreshing furnishings, and installing new fixtures and subway tile in guest suite bathrooms. Outdoor landscaping improvements include a set of granite steps that cascade down from the crest of the expansive, rolling lawn.
